Store Rooms

This project explores the relationship between objects that are stored and the purposes to which they are put. Things we are used to seeing on display in museums or worn on the body can take on a new and different meaning when placed in storage.

I have photographed in a many locations used or designed as store rooms, in places as diverse as the Horniman Museum in London, the Imperial War Museum in Duxford and the Millennium Seed project at Kew Gardens, as well as those of cultural institutions such as the National Theatre costume store room.
